Safe Water for Students:
Providing clean drinking water for
rural Cambodian schools.
None of us think about how our kids get water when they go to school. Drinking fountains are everywhere. There's no risk of waterborne disease. Staying hydrated helps them learn, play, and pursue their dreams of becoming astronauts and doctors.
But in many rural Cambodian schools, there is no safe drinking water.
Students drink untreated well water or rainwater, or simply go thirsty. Quietly, they battle stomach illness, miss days of class, and fall behind — not because they lack ability, but because they lack something as basic as safe water at school.
The good news is that a simple ultrafiltration (UF) system can transform a school’s water supply for less than $1,000, providing safe drinking water for hundreds of students with minimal maintenance requirements.
You don’t have to fund a whole system by yourself. When enough of us pitch in, an entire school gets a simple path toward a bright future.
With just $20, you can give five students
clean drinking water for years to come.

Treated Drinking Water for Rural Schools in Cambodia
Have you ever wondered how children in impoverished countries get clean drinking water?
The sad truth is that many of them don't. They unknowingly battle with water-borne diseases everyday.
In developed countries like the US, water treatment facilities cost millions and provide safe water for millions. In developing countries, we can scale down the concept for rural communities - less than $1,000 can provide simple, safe water for an entire school, for multiple years!
-
Even if you don't have $1,000 laying around, you probably have $20.
-
If 50 of us pitch in, a school full of children can have a simpler path towards a bright future.
This project will purchase and install ultrafiltration drinking water treatment systems in rural schools in Cambodia.
Water Treatment Solution Provider
We've partnered with ISZA Trade, a water treatment company that designs, installs, and maintains drinking water treatment systems.
ISZA is based in Malaysia and also operates in Cambodia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
ISZA currently donates 60 systems/year for schools in Cambodia
We were inspired by their compassion and want to join their cause.
ISZA will be providing low-cost treatment systems and their expertise to make each system cost less than $1,000 total!

Project Goals

-
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to pay for 20 systems.
-
Our founders have donated $1,000 to get us started.
-
Our founders have pledged to donate the final $1,000 when the target of $19,000 is reached.
-
All donations only fund purchase/installation of a system.
-
In the event that a system costs more than $1,000, our founders will cover this cost.
-
Donating $20 is enough for 5 students for an entire year!
