Our Mission

The mission of Clean Water Help is to unite industries, universities, governments, non-profits, and intergovernmental organizations to identify and apply scientific, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions to improve water resources throughout the world.

Our Vision

Clean Water Help envisions a world where:

  1. Every human has access to clean, safe, and affordable drinking water.

  2. Fisheries and farms can be sustainable without sacrificing profits, providing high-quality nutrition and economic opportunities. Nutrients improve yields without promoting toxic algae blooms.

  3. Wetlands and aquatic ecosystems are protected and cherished for the benefits they provide to society and the environment.

  4. Pollution prevention is proactive rather than reactive or neglected.

  5. Education is prioritized, creativity is nurtured, and children grow up to be thought leaders who discover innovative solutions that change the world.

  6. Recreational water bodies like lakes, rivers, and beaches are beautiful, safe, enjoyable, and free from pollution. These water bodies promote tourism and enhance the local economy.

We envision a world where EVERYONE has clean water.

“For many of us, clean water is so plentiful and readily available that we rarely, if ever, pause to consider what life would be like without it.” –  Marcus Samuelsson

  • More than 2 billion people drink untreated water

  • 95% of water-born diseases are preventable

  • Degraded fisheries impact more than 110 million fishers, with more than 60% living in poverty

  • Agricultural disease and crop loss is prevalent in regions with poor water quality

  • Economic growth depends on clean water - tourism, industry, and overall quality of life

What difference would universal clean water make?

  • 3.5 million lives saved per year

  • 4 billion fewer diseases and illnesses per year

  • Enhanced economic opportunity for impacted communities:

    • Loss of productivity and income from illness

    • No more daily struggle to obtain drinking water

    • Enhanced food security

    • Less strain on medical system to allow for treatment of other preventable diseases

What we do to help:

  • Clean lakes and rivers that are used for drinking water

  • Improve fisheries that provide food for communities

  • Reduce pollution and manage legacy toxins

  • Improve irrigation water quality for agriculture

  • Clean water to stimulate economic development

  • Identify problems and solutions then connect communities in need with caring donors

  • Connect government, university, and private industry to unite in order to solve challenging water issues
