Mercury, heavy metals, and cyanide from mining silently poison drinking water, fish, and farmland. We use geochemistry to reduce the pollution at its source and protect downstream communities.

Every strong local partner we work with is led by someone who got an education against the odds. We fund university scholarships with a living stipend, and from 2027 a volunteer mentor, for students who will build and run water systems in their own communities. Five students from DR Congo are sponsored for the year starting in October 2026.

Papua New GuineaA pipeline that Philip Wayaki Bongi and his community dug by hand serves 3,500+ people. We delivered a water filtration pilot in September and are helping launch PNG Safe Water, a local nonprofit Philip leads.
CambodiaOur partners KCCO and YourAid have installed 300+ school water systems in Kampot since 2020. We work on source water protection to extend filter life, test the finished water for pathogens, and audit the program in December.
Philippines · BaguioLocal miners already recover much of their gold without mercury. Our chemists designed a process to replace cyanide too, with a full-scale test beside cyanide planned for early 2027. With AppelGlobal.
